Pinyin Garden app for iPhone and iPad

Pinyin Garden is a Chinese learning game that helps you identify and pronounce frequently used Chinese characters. The word selection is based on the popular textbook series Standard Chinese targeted for young learners in English speaking countries.

The game is divided into scenes marked by flowers of different color. Each scene has 4 levels, and each level covers 25 characters. You can learn the characters in flash cards which list for each character its simplified as well as traditional Chinese form (if different), its pinyin for pronunciation, and a commonly used word containing that character. You can hear the pronunciation if Chinese Text-to-Speech is installed.

In the game mode for each level, 20 characters will be randomly chosen for you to identify based on their pinyin and sound. See if you can get the best score!

The app comes free with the first scene of 4 levels. After in-app upgrade you have access to all 20 levels covering 500 characters. In version 1.0.5 four new free levels have been added.
